The Environment

If one considers the high unemployment rate in South Africa, the question has to be asked. In what way can we change the situation around? Government has launched certain initiatives to address the situation but reality is that the responsibility rests on each South African and each South African organisation to contribute to reducing the unemployment rate, create job opportunities- there by alleviate poverty.

Entrepreneurship education and training plays a key role in addressing this triple societal burden. The benefit of such actions will ripple through society; from reducing crime to changing the collective perception of failure and hopelessness to making a contribution and success. The Global Business School of Entrepreneurship was launched in 2008, at the SADC Summit of the Heads of State Annual Conference, Johannesburg.
